    Organizational-methodical management and coordination of activity of bodies of preliminary investigation in divisions of Department of Internal Affairs of South-Kazakhstan region, with a purpose of maintenance of detailed, full and objective inquiry of crimes concerning law-enforcement bodies of   Kazakhstan Republic.

    Control legality of inquiry divisions of Department of Internal Affairs of South-Kazakhstan region activity within its competence.

    Consideration and settlement of complaints, statements and other references of citizens and the juridical persons occurring during preliminary investigation according to the legislation of Republic Kazakhstan.
The organization of inquiry of the most difficult criminal cases about the organized criminality, especially dangerous crimes against the person by the inspectors of Inquiry management of Department of Internal Affairs of South-Kazakhstan region

    Coordination of inter-regional crimes inquiry carried out by inspectors of law-enforcement bodies and creation the inter-regional investigatory groups in necessary cases.

    Maintenance of material damage compensation caused by crimes compensation of the material damage, and remedial costs within the limits of crime's inquiry. Studying and generalization of investigatory practice, and acceptance measures of introduction of positive experience and the modern methods of investigation based on it and directed on improvement of quality and reduction of terms of investigation
